About the role
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams throughout design, development, and commercialization to deliver high-quality products.
- Analyze design packs, prepare factory deliverables, and maintain accurate Product Bill of Materials (BOM) and costing for products in development.
- Identify and address manufacturing, efficiency, and cost concerns to meet margin and duty targets.
- Manage the sample process, including clear requests, product teardowns, documentation, and communication of revisions.
- Recommend improvements in construction, materials, and components to enhance functionality, aesthetics, fit, and durability.
- Lead and participate in development meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and ensure on-time production confirmation.
- Drive timelines and maintain proactive communication with cross-functional teams, manufacturing partners, and material suppliers.
- Monitor and resolve production quality issues as needed.
- Maintain standards for design quality and development processes while navigating fast-paced, changing business needs.
- Provide guidance to teams, work independently, and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Manage physical storage and organization of prototypes and samples.
- Leverage strong knowledge of supplier capabilities, factory relations, material pricing, lead times, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related field is preferred
- Two (2+) years of experience in product creation or similar role is required
- Expanded conceptual understanding of the product development and manufacturing process
- Strong project management skills
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and develop effective responses for unique process exceptions using experience and sound judgment
- Detail oriented, self-motivated with strong decision-making capabilities
- Demonstrates a passion for premium products and team building, fostering a positive, collaborative culture and working effectively with cross-functional teams
- Some domestic and international travel may be required.
