About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare polished, accurate demand packages following firm SOPs and requiring minimal attorney revisions
- Review medical records, bills, liens, treatment history, and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy
- Negotiate with insurance adjusters to pursue stronger settlement outcomes
- Negotiate medical lien reductions with medical providers to maximize client recovery
- Own case progression through the post-treatment demand stage
- Document activity, notes, follow-ups, deadlines, and updates in MyCase
- Follow firm SOPs for drafting, document preparation, communication, and case progression
- Use AI tools strategically while reviewing and verifying all outputs
- Prepare organized litigation handoffs when settlement is unsuccessful
Requirements
What you’ll need- Direct experience with personal injury demand drafting, settlement negotiations, and post-treatment case work
- Strong negotiation skills, including advocating for higher settlement value and handling difficult conversations
- Ability to review, track, and negotiate medical liens
- Highly organized, self-managing, deadline-driven, and able to keep cases moving without constant oversight
- Strong written and spoken English
- Professional communication with adjusters, medical providers, attorneys, clients, and internal team members
- Experience with MyCase or a similar case management system
- Strategic use of AI tools with legal judgment and accuracy checking
- Professionalism, accountability, dependability, growth mindset, and ownership
- Litigation experience strongly preferred
