About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop engaging, high-impact learning programs—not just individual courses
- Create content for new volunteer onboarding and ongoing education
- Apply adult learning principles to create meaningful, memorable learning experiences
- Develop structured learning journeys, assignments, and certification pathways
- Continuously improve content through iteration, feedback, and evolving needs
- Conduct learning needs analyses to inform program design
- Define success metrics and evaluate learning effectiveness
- Design assessments (formative and summative) that measure competency and readiness
- Build scalable frameworks, templates, and standards for learning design
- Play a key role in LMS migration and optimization
- Design learning experiences directly within LMS platforms
- Ensure content is accessible, well-structured, and scalable
- Collaborate closely with clinical, learning & engagement, and subject matter expert teams
- Translate complex or sensitive content into clear, engaging learning experiences
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver programs
- Manage projects end-to-end, including timelines, milestones, and communication
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering learning experiences or programs
- Strong application of adult learning principles in practice
- Experience using e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, or similar)
- Experience working within or building content for learning management systems (LMS)
- Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive learning design
- Experience creating or editing written, video, or multimedia content
- Ability to develop visually engaging learning materials (e.g., Canva or similar tools)
- Experience managing projects, timelines, and deliverables
