About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and optimize software for data collection agents running across Windows, Linux, and Mac environments
Collaborate with UX designers, Product Managers, and fellow engineers to translate feature requirements into intuitive, high-performance user experiences
Own the development lifecycle from design and implementation through testing and maintenance
Deliver clean, efficient, and reliable code meeting customer needs
Develop automated tests and comprehensive test plans
Help maintain and support Cribl SaaS products
Participate periodically in 24x7 on-call rotations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar field
Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals, including memory management, CPU architecture/scheduling, filesystems, process lifecycles, and networking
Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging skills
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Experience leveraging the latest AI tools to accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional experience developing software using TypeScript and Node.js
Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
Experience using assertion frameworks and tools to automate regression tests, such as Mocha
Prior experience working on data-intensive applications and/or data stream processing
Experience working remotely across time zones
Willingness to participate in stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties
Commitment to ownership and high standards of quality and performance
