About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop software for projects and features, emphasizing backend systems and APIs for ingesting, processing, and routing data
Design, develop, test, and maintain clear, concise, and robust code
Partner with engineers, designers, and product managers to translate feature specifications into product designs and implementable code
Create rich test plans and comprehensive automated tests to ensure product features work as expected
Take end-to-end ownership of developed software
Participate regularly in the team’s on-call/support rotation
Help the larger team reach desired outcomes, including work outside the formal job description
Perform stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Solid computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, basic networking, and operating systems concepts
Interest in distributed systems and scalability principles
Demonstrated experience building products leveraging large-scale data sets using Node.js/TypeScript
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and scalability principles
Knowledge of systems-level debugging, networking, performance profiling, and tuning
Ability to learn new technologies and root-cause complex problems
Experience with Agile processes and rapid iterative development
Strong ownership with focus on high-quality, high-performing deliverables
Experience developing software or services for cloud-based platforms
Ability to comply with U.S. government security requirements for access to FedRAMP-authorized systems, which may include U.S. citizenship
