Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team dedicated to developing Engineering tools, standards and integrations
Drive velocity, throughput, quality, governance and security across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Identify and build metrics, KPIs and SLOs for end-to-end engineering effectiveness
Champion data-driven decision making while applying expert judgment and carefully considering customer and cross-functional needs
Foster a culture of craft and technical excellence through tooling, processes and by setting high standards for design, code quality, and production robustness
Break down a high-level strategy into actionable steps to realize the long-term vision while delivering business value at every interim step
Take a hands-on approach when needed, providing code reviews, architecture guidance, and technical support to unblock the team
Drive projects from concept to completion, including customer outreach, problem statement, idea generation, design, implementation, testing and adoption
Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring the team remains focused on delivering exceptional tools, platforms and processes that delight engineers
Attract, hire, and nurture top talent while promoting an inclusive and diverse team environment
Collaborate closely with other leaders to ensure alignment across cross-functional teams and achieve company-wide goals
Balance immediate problem-solving with long-term strategic planning to drive sustainable innovation
This position will require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties
Requirements
Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams with a focus on collaboration and effective delivery
Expertise in and passion for DevOps tools, productivity metrics and developer platforms
Background in building and deploying software within a SaaS environment
Demonstrated ability to hire, train, and mentor high-performing engineers, supporting all stages of software development and maintenance
Experience leading remote teams in a dynamic, Agile environment is a significant advantage
Track record of establishing and promoting strong engineering practices and processes
Comfortable working with customers to understand pain points and collaborate on improvements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, with 15+ years of industry experience
At least 6+ years of experience in a technical leadership role as a team lead or engineering manager
