Forest Technician, Northwest LA – Northeast TX
Crest IndustriesForestry Technician managing over 100,000 acres of timberland in Northwest Louisiana and East Texas. Collaborating with Foresters to conduct fieldwork and manage associated equipment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join the management team for the North management unit covering Northwest Louisiana and East Texas.
- Conduct field work in the management of over 100,000 acres of pine timberland.
- Work alongside Foresters to manage timberland and associated equipment / properties.
- Apply knowledge of forest management techniques, timber cruising, and identify different types of plants, animals, and habitats.
- Operate and maintain various equipment and tools while using proper safety methods.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Forestry is required; Five plus years of related field experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
- Field experience is considered a plus.
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work within a team to achieve a common goal.
