Operation and support (2nd/3rd level) of payments and accounting applications
Independent responsibility for managing, optimizing, and further developing the operation of defined applications and their interfaces to surrounding systems (including data quality)
Ensuring optimal integration of the applications as well as availability, performance and security of the systems
Analysis of (complex) incidents/system behavior including sustainable solutions within the scope of 2nd/3rd level support
Responsibility for lifecycle management, release, change and incident management
Strategic responsibility (taking into account the bank and IT strategy and a forward-looking vision) and the associated technical/conceptual further development of the applications
Contributing to architecture and design decisions
Implementing requirements from information security, compliance and data protection, including internal (group) policies

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in application support, administration or development
Solid knowledge of European payments, in particular SEPA SCT/SDD, SEPA Instant Payments (RT1) and T2, as well as the underlying rulebooks and ISO 20022 message formats
Understanding of payment architectures, interfaces (APIs, MQ, file transfers) and connections to clearing and settlement systems (e.g. TIPS, RT1, BBk EMZ)
Strong affinity for regulatory and security-related requirements in payments (information security, fraud prevention, sanctions screening)
Solid understanding of IT-supported accounting systems
Sound knowledge of Unix/Linux and often also Windows server environments (operation, scripting, logs, shell, system services)
Understanding of network and security fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, proxies, certificates, encryption), ideally experience with data center or cloud environments
Good knowledge of relational databases (typically Oracle, sometimes MS SQL, Postgres) including (PL/)SQL for analysis, troubleshooting and minor adjustments
Experience with job/batch automation (e.g. UC4/Automic) as well as monitoring/logging tools for applications and jobs
Good knowledge of application architectures, interface and integration concepts (REST/SOAP web services, messaging, file interfaces and middleware architectures)
Knowledge of relevant financial standards/protocols is an advantage, e.g. ISO 20022/SEPA/SWIFT, EBICS, security/compliance solutions (anti-financial crime, AML, sanctions screening)
Self-driven, structured and analytical working style
Strong communication skills with business units, external partners and internal IT
Business-fluent German and very good English skills
