About the role
- Strategic People Management: Lead career development (IDP) for engineers at different levels, including support for technical references (Staffs and Principals), ensuring a learning culture and low dependence on tactical leadership.
- Operational and Agile Efficiency: Restructure the team’s modus operandi, eliminate inefficient meetings and ensure ceremonies (such as dailies and refinements) are outcome-driven and produce clear outputs.
- Business Liaison: Act as the primary link between engineering and stakeholders (PMs and business areas), helping define priorities, manage expectations and instill a sense of urgency.
- Metrics Governance: Establish and track high-performance indicators such as throughput, reduction of bugs and commit frequency, promoting team self-sufficiency.
Requirements
- Proven track record in leading engineering teams in growth environments (scale-ups or fintechs).
- Prior experience as a developer (Tech Lead, Staff or SME) to provide technical credibility in architecture discussions.
- History of managing organizational change, preferably in scenarios involving team unification or tribe restructuring.
- Experience working in cultures that value autonomy and focus on business outcomes rather than just code delivery.
- Availability for hybrid work: attendance at our Morumbi office in São Paulo is required once a month for four consecutive days, usually during the last or first week of the month (Creditas in Person).
