Credit Counsellor

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess clients’ financial situations
- Provide personalized options and strategies to help manage and resolve debts
- Offer ongoing support through a Debt Management Program
- Serve as a trusted resource, answering questions and following up
- Complete the Certified Financial Counsellor (CFC) certification within the first year
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary degree or diploma (an asset but not required)
- Three to five years of experience in financial services, counselling, social services, or related fields
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Goal-oriented mindset
- Strong ability to influence and guide others
- Strong organizational skills
- Availability to work variable shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 8:00 PM (local time)
- Flexibility, including early mornings, may be required
- Saturday shifts (average of 6 per year) are also required
