About the role
- The Communication Specialist is the ‘voice’ of CCS, putting into words the great work that we do in a way that resonates with Canadians.
- Create compelling written collateral in the form of blog articles, media pitches, press releases, brochures, presentations, video scripts, and social media posts to increase awareness, consumer interaction, and knowledge, consistent with our overall marketing and awareness strategy.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Marketing & Community Engagement team.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field is required, ideally in a related field such as business or communications.
- Three to five years of experience in either the personal finance or credit industry is a requirement for this role.
- Two to three years of experience in communications, writing, or journalism.
- Previous experience working in a media relations capacity is an asset.
- Excellent oral and exceptional written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Well-organized and self-motivated.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- High proficiency in computer office applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Products like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
- Good understanding of and interest in multiple social media platforms (e.g., X, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok).
