Job Level

About the role

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, enterprise-grade BI and analytics architectures across multiple platforms (e.g., Looker/Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar).
  • Architect and develop robust semantic/data models to support complex KPIs, large datasets, and cross-functional reporting needs.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain advanced dashboards, applications, and reporting solutions using modern BI tools.
  • Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, platform-native tools (e.g., BigQuery, Dataform, Power Query), APIs, and/or integration frameworks to ingest data from diverse sources (cloud platforms, Oracle, SQL Server, APIs, flat files, legacy systems).
  • Implement performance optimization strategies including query tuning, incremental loads, partitioning, materialized views, and data extract optimization.
  • Administer enterprise BI environments, including workspace management, deployment pipelines, user/role management, row-level security, job scheduling, monitoring, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Design and manage automated and subscription-based reporting solutions, enabling secure and scalable report distribution.
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards, including data validation, metadata management, lineage tracking, auditability, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and operational runbooks.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and analysts; conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure analytics solutions.
  • Support lifecycle management of analytics systems, including enhancements, modernization initiatives, and cloud migration efforts.
  • Ensure BI solutions meet enterprise security standards, including access controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., DoD or other regulated environments as applicable).

Requirements

  • - Google ecosystem (Looker, Looker Studio, BigQuery)
  • - Microsoft Power BI
  • - Tableau
  • - Qlik Sense/QlikView
  • Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling, semantic layer design).
  • Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-native or enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience administering enterprise BI environments, including security models (row-level security, role-based access control), deployment pipelines, and performance monitoring.
  • Understanding of cloud data warehouse architectures (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum or hybrid development methodologies.
  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments with formal QA, IA, and configuration management processes.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience in building and deploying machine learning models and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with agile methodologies in a collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
