About the role
- focus on the design and engineering of HVAC and mechanical utilities for new buildings, renovations, and process systems.
- manage multiple complex tasks, establish priorities, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, constructible designs.
- designing mechanical systems in compliance with codes and industry standards.
- performing load calculations, utility assessments, energy modeling, and equipment selection.
- developing design reports, plans, P&IDs, schedules, and specifications.
- coordinating with architects, engineers, clients, and construction partners.
- utilizing BIM tools, CAD software, and engineering platforms for design execution.
- supporting construction activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field surveys.
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred; EIT required if PE is not obtained.
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant AEC experience.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in life sciences or food & beverage industries is a plus.
- Knowledge of mechanical/plumbing/fire/building codes and industry standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISPE, etc.).
