About the role

  • focus on the design and engineering of HVAC and mechanical utilities for new buildings, renovations, and process systems.
  • manage multiple complex tasks, establish priorities, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, constructible designs.
  • designing mechanical systems in compliance with codes and industry standards.
  • performing load calculations, utility assessments, energy modeling, and equipment selection.
  • developing design reports, plans, P&IDs, schedules, and specifications.
  • coordinating with architects, engineers, clients, and construction partners.
  • utilizing BIM tools, CAD software, and engineering platforms for design execution.
  • supporting construction activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field surveys.

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred; EIT required if PE is not obtained.
  • ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant AEC experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in life sciences or food & beverage industries is a plus.
  • Knowledge of mechanical/plumbing/fire/building codes and industry standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISPE, etc.).
