About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support water, wastewater, and stormwater municipal infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
Projects may include water main distribution and transmission mains, pump stations, sewer improvements, and stormwater studies.
Assist with engineering design, calculations, and preparation of construction documents.
Participate in field visits and provide construction observation, as needed.
Prepare technical memoranda and reports and contribute to project deliverables.
Assist with permitting efforts and coordination with regulatory agencies.
Communicate effectively with internal team members and external clients.
Attend project and team meetings and contribute ideas and solutions.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow professionally within the firm.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field is required.
Engineer Intern (EI) certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook; PowerPoint a plus).
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Ability and willingness to perform field work and construction-related duties as required.
Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to project meetings and job sites.
Ideally, you will also have:
0-4 years of Civil Engineering or relevant internship experience.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Exposure to water, wastewater, and/or stormwater design.
Experience with hydraulic or hydrologic modeling software.
