Key responsibilities & impact

Perform, support, and lead on-site construction phase services, including project observation and documentation services
Serve as the engineer’s on-site liaison with the contractor and client
Prepare, maintain, and distribute required construction documentation
Perform secondary assignments, including assistance with planning and design of civil & transportation projects
Communicate, understand, and implement construction documents

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma/GED
2 years minimum equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
Possess general knowledge and understanding of construction of transportation and civil infrastructure projects
Ability to clarify and interpret construction documents
Complete IDOT Quality Management Training classes for HMA, PCC, and aggregates
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and CADD software for civil design projects
Strong ability to manage personnel and delegate tasks
Ability to work independently and manage time on multiple projects
Strong written and oral communication skills
Willingness to accept out of town travel assignments and work overtime
Must have valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
