About the role
- Perform, support, and lead on-site construction inspection, observation, and documentation services
- Serve as the engineer’s on-site liaison with the contractor and client
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute required construction documentation
- Perform secondary assignments which may include assistance with planning and design of civil & transportation projects
- Communicate, understand, and implement the construction documents (plans & specifications)
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or two-year technical degree in Engineering Technology or related field
- Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
- General knowledge and understanding of the construction of transportation, site development, and civil infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD for use in civil & site design projects
- Strong ability to manage personnel and delegate tasks
- Strong to work independently and able to effectively manage time and work on multiple projects
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be willing to accept out of town travel assignments and work overtime
- Must have valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship
- Successful completion of a security background check which requires employment history, verification and criminal history records checks.
