About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform, support, and lead on-site construction inspection, observation, and documentation services
Serve as the engineer’s on-site liaison with the contractor and client
Prepare, maintain, and distribute required construction documentation
Perform secondary assignments which may include assistance with planning and design of civil & transportation projects
Communicate, understand, and implement the construction documents (plans & specifications)

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree or two-year technical degree in Engineering Technology or related field
Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
General knowledge and understanding of the construction of transportation, site development, and civil infrastructure projects
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD for use in civil & site design projects
Strong ability to manage personnel and delegate tasks
Strong to work independently and able to effectively manage time and work on multiple projects
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must be willing to accept out of town travel assignments and work overtime
Must have valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship
Successful completion of a security background check which requires employment history, verification and criminal history records checks.
