About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process
Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status
Perform quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind
Decide whether to repair or replace parts based on safety, cost, and cycle time
Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to access vehicles and fenders
Participate in all required safety meetings
File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
Direct the work of an apprentice when needed, explaining procedures and addressing unusual problems or questions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to use frame machine
Certification in body repair preferred
Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
I-CAR welding certified
Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
Ability to supervise repair personnel
Must be able to pass thorough background check
