About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process
Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status
Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status
Decide whether to repair or replace components considering safety, cost, and cycle time
Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, trim, and fenders to access repair areas
Participate in all required safety meetings
File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools
Direct an apprentice when needed, including explaining procedures and addressing unusual problems or questions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to use a frame machine
Certification in body repair preferred
Knowledge of the vehicle repair process by manufacturer
I-CAR welding certified
Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
Ability to supervise repair personnel
Must be able to pass a thorough background check
