About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and complete all parts ordering based on initial estimates and supplements
  • Communicate with parts vendors and partner with Repair Planners to ensure parts accuracy
  • Track parts deliveries and communicate status updates to vendors
  • Update the Repair Planner accordingly
  • Receive and mirror match delivered parts to repair orders
  • Ensure all parts are placed and accounted for on the parts cart
  • Inspect delivered parts for damage within two hours of expected drop off
  • Return incorrect parts immediately to the vendor
  • Monitor parts margin, pending credits, shop consumables inventory, and material spend
  • Communicate with the General Manager about optimization as needed
  • Ensure parts invoices are posted daily in CCC One and make corrections as necessary
  • Support Body Technicians with parts knowledge and reference materials
  • Keep up on laws and regulations related to parts installation
  • Mentor and direct the activities of the Parts Assistant, if applicable

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Experience in a parts capacity in the automotive industry
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and work orders
  • Proficient knowledge and use of estimating software
