About the role
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
- Conduct regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with senior accountants, managers, and other department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts
- Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance
- Previous experience in public accounting, consulting, or corporate accounting
- Strong communicator, capable of working with peers and senior management
- Strong analytical thinker
- Independent, self-starter that works well in team environment
- Capable of quickly adapting to change
- Proficiency in MS Office products – intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Deep understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties
- Ability to work cross functionally and act as a liaison with all levels or organization and external business partnerships
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
