About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and drive long-term planning and strategy for Downhole and Radiation Monitoring verticals
  • Lead product line annual planning and drive accountability across functional and business areas
  • Lead opportunity strategy and capture planning, including win themes, competitive positioning, pricing strategy, and risk mitigation
  • Support proposal development and lead commercial negotiations
  • Cultivate executive-level and working-level customer relationships and develop strategic partnerships
  • Act as the voice of the customer by identifying emerging needs, influencing product roadmaps, and collaborating on specifications
  • Optimize and integrate processes to meet internal and external needs
  • Present strategies, business cases, technical roadmaps, risks, and mitigation plans to senior business leaders
  • Work with project management, operations, and engineering teams to ensure expectations are met
  • Develop long-term domestic and international customer relationships with commercial teams and technology experts
  • Collaborate with sales, commercial, and marketing teams on market research, customer insights, and competitor intelligence
  • Identify product/service segmentation, targeting, and positioning
  • Work with Supply Chain to develop supply strategies and cost targets
  • Lead NPI planning and commercial success with commercial, operations, and technology stakeholders
  • Lead proposal development from basis of estimates through pricing and senior leadership reviews
  • Participate in Stage Gate product and technology development teams and required documentation
  • Represent the organization in customer discussions and technical forums
  • Comply with safety and corporate business ethics guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 8 years in cross-functional leadership roles
  • Minimum of 5+ years in sales, operations, engineering, or technical support
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
  • Financial acumen with responsibility for financial success of a business or project
  • Excellent customer relationship skills resulting in business growth
  • Ability to plan, document, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes and Agile Project Management methodology
  • Strong analytical, organizational, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other regulatory standards
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Proven success working within highly regulated environments such as nuclear, medical, or food
  • Ability to travel for customer and supplier visits, domestically and internationally, up to 40% annually
  • Results-oriented self-starter with leadership and relationship skills
  • Ability to develop, learn, and adapt to new systems, processes, and programs
