COMEX Assistant, FCL Export – Customer Care

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor maritime shipments from scheduling through arrival at the final destination.
- Track vessel information, estimated sailing schedules and related deadlines.
- Control and follow up on deadlines with parties involved in the process, ensuring the smooth flow of operations.
- Update customers on shipment status, providing accurate and timely information throughout all stages of transport.
- Monitor cargo using the CargoWise system and tracking tools provided by shipping lines and agents.
- Serve as the point of contact between customers, agents and shipping lines for incident resolution and operational support.
- Mediate discussions related to problems identified at the destination, engaging local agents when necessary.
- Provide telephone support to customers, answering questions about shipments and logistics processes.
- Prepare and maintain reports and cargo tracking controls.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or currently enrolled in a program in Foreign Trade, International Relations, Business Administration or related fields
- Intermediate English
- Basic knowledge of customs legislation
- Knowledge of maritime export processes
- Familiarity with tracking queries for shipping lines and international agents
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage deadlines
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Outlook
