About the role

  • Coordinate and monitor all stages of maritime import shipments, from opening the SI (Shipping Instruction) or coordinated RO (Routing Order) through to confirmation of document dispatch;
  • Keep clients and agents informed with shipment-related information, aiming for high service satisfaction and continuous improvement;
  • Execute the strategy defined for the FCL import product in collaboration with Sales and Pricing teams to achieve Group Craft’s targets;
  • Coordinate receipt of new shipping instructions (origin/internal/client) and verify required basic and mandatory information;
  • Identify discrepancies and record them in the system;
  • Send the SI (Shipping Instruction) to the agent with complete data and perform continuous follow-up until the agent confirms shipment. Pay attention to the Incoterm for the workflow;
  • Conduct ongoing follow-up with agents for all shipment stages, from receiving the booking to confirmation of the cargo sailing, keeping customers informed and updated at every step;
  • Keep the corporate system updated according to events throughout the shipment process;
  • Close shipments accurately, meeting deadlines and ensuring correct documentation in the system for the client and documentation team;
  • Contact customers indicated by agents who booked shipment directly at destination (Routing Order) to confirm cargo status and estimated sailing date;
  • Foster the development of the relationship between the customer and the shipment coordinator through calls and meetings (internal or external meetings subject to immediate management approval).

Requirements

  • University degree completed or in progress in Foreign Trade, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields;
  • Advanced conversational English — will serve clients in the USA;
  • Spanish is a plus;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Preferably experienced working with freight forwarders and/or NVOCCs;
  • Knowledge of import routines/processes;
  • Ability to interpret scenarios, positive attitude, curiosity, eagerness to learn, and dynamism;
  • Experience with U.S. import processes is a plus.
