About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate approved UI/UX designs, wireframes, and user stories into responsive front end components and web pages under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Develop and maintain clean, reusable front end code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, and approved UI component libraries.
  • Assist with updates, enhancements, documentation, and ongoing support for web and internet applications, including customer-facing and associate-facing digital experiences.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, UX designers, and other developers in an Agile environment to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and deliver quality solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, incorporate feedback, follow established development standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of front end practices.
  • Build and maintain reusable components and front end patterns that support consistency, accessibility, performance, and brand standards.
  • Use browser developer tools, debugging techniques, and performance testing tools to troubleshoot front end issues and improve the user experience.
  • Support integration with internal and external APIs and backend services to enable seamless data exchange between front end and backend systems.
  • Assist with unit testing, quality validation, release support, and CI/CD activities as part of the development lifecycle.
  • Understand and comply with all company privacy, security, accessibility, and technology standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience or training may be considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience developing responsive websites or web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front end frameworks such as React or Next.js.
  • Experience with TypeScript, RESTful APIs, Git version control, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Exposure to content management systems, Sitecore, cloud-hosted applications, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, containers, microservices, or restaurant/retail technology environments preferred but not required.
