About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze, capture and document business requirements in close collaboration with banks, business units and other stakeholders
  • Provide consulting and support on issues related to balance sheet and annual financial statement preparation according to the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Contribute to the functional design and further development of a modern software solution for banks' annual financial statements
  • Translate business requirements into structured user stories and technical implementation concepts for development teams
  • Analyze and optimize business processes related to balance sheet accounting and financial statement preparation
  • Support the Product Owner with backlog maintenance, refinement sessions and prioritization
  • Prepare business documentation, analyses and presentations (e.g., using Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Work in agile projects and assume functional responsibility for subprojects
  • Support customers during the rollout of new features and applications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
  • Solid knowledge of accounting under the German Commercial Code (HGB), ideally with experience in annual financial statements for banks or credit institutions
  • Experience in requirements management, requirements engineering or business analysis
  • Strong IT affinity and an understanding of collaboration between business units and software development
  • Preferably experience with software solutions for bank accounting or financial statement preparation
  • Experience with agile working methods (e.g., Scrum)
  • Confident use of Jira and Confluence, as well as very good Microsoft Excel skills
  • Structured, self-directed working style and strong communication skills
  • Very good German language skills, spoken and written
