  • Role Overview:
  • We are seeking a seasoned GitHub Migration Architect / Specialist to lead the enterprise-wide migration of repositories from Bitbucket to GitHub. This role combines strategic planning, solution architecture, execution, and enablement, requiring expertise in DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), containerization (AKS), and code quality (SonarQube).

Requirements

  • 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 3+ years in GitHub Enterprise and hands-on repository migration projects.
  • Proven migration experience from Bitbucket → GitHub Enterprise.
  • Strong in Git workflows, DevOps practices, and automation.
  • Hands-on with AKS, SonarQube, AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, CodePipeline).
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and GitHub CLI/API.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, ArgoCD, Prisma Cloud, Nexus (preferred).
  • Experience designing scalable, secure GitHub architectures.
  • Track record in enterprise-level migrations and change management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and present to diverse audiences.
