About the role
- Developing & coaching Client handlers in financial tools and techniques that will drive better commercial results.
- Preparing and reviewing client budgets
- Developing costing models for New Business proposals
- Forecasting for business and clients
- Client profitability/client contribution ratio analysis
- Partnering with our Client Handlers to build the link between operational KPI performance and financial account profitability
- Supporting the Senior Management team in the drafting, development, implementation and monitoring of a multi year growth strategy
- Leading on new business financials
- Revenue recognition – month end function
- Ad hoc variance analysis
- Financial planning for the business including variance analysis and commentary
- Monthly Management accounts preparation
- Audit liaison for annual statutory audit and internal
Requirements
- Fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ post qualified experience, preferably in a commercial role
- Experience in working with a shared service environment desirable but not essential
- Ability to combine commercial understanding with financial technical knowledge to support client requirements within financial regulations essential
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong experience of Microsoft Office tools
- Strong systems knowledge – experience in PeopleSoft an advantage but not required
