About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct daily conflicts research and run timely, accurate conflicts searches
  • Analyze conflicts reports to identify potential conflicts
  • Maintain data in a conflicts database and ensure data integrity
  • Process electronic new matter and client opening requests
  • Research using S&P Cap IQ, Hoovers, LexisNexis/Corporate Affiliations, A.M. Best, and other public databases
  • Interact with attorneys and staff regarding the Conflicts Group and its processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years in the same or a similar role within a law firm required
  • Experience supporting multiple offices and/or practice areas preferred
  • Conflicts of interest database experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Document Management System (DMS)
  • Ability to learn and navigate firm applications, systems, and databases
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Multitasking, time management, organization, and ability to meet rapid deadlines
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and provide explanations to attorneys and staff at all levels
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments amid shifting turnaround deadlines
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility for projects or special assignments
  • Initiative and independent judgment skills
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
