About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct daily conflicts research and run timely, accurate conflicts searches
- Analyze conflicts reports to identify potential conflicts
- Maintain data in a conflicts database and ensure data integrity
- Process electronic new matter and client opening requests
- Research using S&P Cap IQ, Hoovers, LexisNexis/Corporate Affiliations, A.M. Best, and other public databases
- Interact with attorneys and staff regarding the Conflicts Group and its processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years in the same or a similar role within a law firm required
- Experience supporting multiple offices and/or practice areas preferred
- Conflicts of interest database experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Document Management System (DMS)
- Ability to learn and navigate firm applications, systems, and databases
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to think outside the box
- Multitasking, time management, organization, and ability to meet rapid deadlines
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate and provide explanations to attorneys and staff at all levels
- Ability to handle multiple assignments amid shifting turnaround deadlines
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility for projects or special assignments
- Initiative and independent judgment skills
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
