About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct speech and language evaluations for Early Start clients alongside expert clinicians
- Provide consultation services tailored to each child’s needs
- Work with Program Supervisors to recommend strategies, communication supports, and meaningful goals
- Deliver one-on-one speech and language therapy when needed
- Target vocabulary, sentence structure, articulation, social communication, and feeding/swallowing when appropriate
- Track hours accurately, document progress, and submit reports on time
- Collaborate within a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative Early Intervention team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current California SLP license, kept up to date
- At least one year of experience working with young children with developmental delays
- Clear background and driving record
- Current TB clearance
- BLS certification
- Any other required health and safety credentials, or willingness to obtain them
- Ability to work approximately 15–20 hours per week
