About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Managing the care of adult or geriatric patients with general medical conditions or surgical procedures
- Assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records, and provide support and education to patients and families
- Work at least one shift per pay period as an eAcute Virtual Med surg nurse and the remainder of shifts as a bedside nurse
- Assist with tasks such as completing the admission and discharge process, care plan development and maintenance, patient education, medication and discharge teaching, care coordination, and mentoring of new nurses
- Implement evidence-based care and assist the primary bedside nurse with tasks not required to be done in person
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- At least two years’ nursing experience (required)
- Preceptor and Charge nurse experience (preferred)
- RN license active in the state of Missouri (required)
