About the role
- Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing, and compliance with FCC regulations.
- Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
- Oversee all training and scheduling of Board Ops.
- Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams to ensure smooth transitions and accurate commercial placement.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate as needed.
- Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
- Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
- Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.
- Monitors listener emails, inquiries and responses related to shows.
- Assist the management team with planning of future projects, elections, and other special events.
Requirements
- Minimum two years' experience in news operations (Depending on market size)
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work any shift.
- Must have at least some previous news producing experience at a radio station, although the right entry-level candidate may be considered
- 2-3 years of experience as a producer/board-op in a top 25 market.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must.
- Proficient with Adobe Audition, WideOrbit, etc.
- Ability to work in emergency situations at a moments notice including weekends and overnights.
- Monitor live streams both audio and video.
- Edit audio for holiday best of programming.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
