About the role
- Presents daily news content for Telemundo Jacksonville
- Focus on weather, breaking news, investigative and impactful news that matters to viewers
- Demonstrate the ability to enterprise original stories
- Create breaking news content effectively and communicate to the newsroom in a timely manner
- Shoot and edit video, write scripts, and effectively communicate live on-air
- Work closely with other newsroom staff and ensure timely delivery of content
Requirements
- Ability to write and speak Spanish
- Familiarity with digital media tools, video editing software, and social media platforms is essential
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills for effective storytelling
- Ability to develop unique angles and compelling narratives that engage audiences
- Proficient in conducting interviews and gathering information from various sources to support news stories
- Must be bilingual
- A minimum of 2 years professional experience in local TV news is preferred
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Journalism or Communications preferred
