About the role
- Ability to write and speak Spanish
- Assist in writing, pre-production and broadcast preparation; ensuring stories are clear/accurate and represent the station’s benchmark goals
- Deliver news copy on camera with confidence
- Use creativity and imagination, and exercise independent professional judgment in investigating, reporting, interviewing, writing, editing and delivering news stories and assigned events
- Manage a team of producers and multimedia journalist
- Run daily editorial meetings, exercising rigorous editorial judgement
- Ability to implement research to create newscasts to serve Telemundo audience
- Work well with co-workers
- Generate story ideas daily
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field
- 5 years reporting/anchoring
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to engage with the audience is essential
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing news situations
- Must possess charisma and confidence to effectively present news and engage viewers
- Must be bilingual
