About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain relationships with external clients
  • Ensure client needs drive priorities, decisions, and activities to support client and revenue retention and product utilization
  • Own the client relationship on behalf of the company and advocate for client needs internally
  • Work remotely under moderate supervision to protect the revenue stream
  • Identify customer interest in additional products and expand or upsell product functionality
  • Collaborate with other Performance Managers to provide clients with multiple products a seamless and consistent experience
  • Independently manage the progress and results of assigned accounts
  • Engage clients through onsite visits and virtual screen share sessions to increase product utilization and improve business processes
  • Develop relationships with clients and dealership staff at all levels
  • Create action plans for at-risk clients to turn around and retain relationships
  • Identify barriers and core problems preventing clients from meeting business objectives
  • Provide guidance on product capabilities to help clients meet business objectives
  • Monitor and analyze account performance and trends
  • Monitor system red flags and emergencies and take immediate action
  • Improve existing processes and systems during client engagements
  • Maintain product knowledge, including new releases and product enhancements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field, or a master's degree and 2 years' experience, or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience, or 8 years' experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Safe driver
  • At least 3 years’ recent retail automotive experience as a General Manager, General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, Finance Manager, BDC Manager or similar capacity
  • Proven ability to influence change inside or a dealership
  • Direct experience desking deals in a retail automotive environment
  • Working knowledge and experience in retail automotive and broad capabilities through software utilization
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of technologies, screen share technologies and other relevant software systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels at an automotive dealership or dealer group
  • Ability to communicate in a way that retains audience engagement
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to detect problems/risks without being face-to-face; ability to ask open-ended questions
  • Ability to work remote, nearly autonomously under moderate supervision and follow department standard practices and procedures
  • Desire to work in a highly collaborative atmosphere through remote technologies
  • Ability and eagerness to learn complex technology and basic understanding of web-based systems
  • Ability to travel potentially up to 50%, including in-market and overnight or occasional weekend travel
  • Must clear a pre-employment drug test
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
  • No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future
