About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate revenue growth through prospecting and identifying opportunities to increase market share through new customer acquisition
- Identify and close new business with small independent and franchise dealers
- Serve as the initial point of contact for potential new Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book customers
- Cultivate new sales opportunities within assigned territories in alignment with Regional Sales Managers
- Proactively contact qualified prospects
- Build relationships from first contact through attendance at online or onsite demonstrations of Autotrader and KBB DMS products
- Cold call dealer prospects to uncover sales opportunities and meet or exceed sales quota
- Contact incoming lead prospects from call-in, email, or A game
- Engage hard-to-reach customers using email, BombBomb videos, and marketing pieces
- Document activities in Salesforce.com
- Strategize independently and collaboratively to solve deal-level challenges
- Use the Challenger-based approach to manage and demonstrate new prospects and retain an existing book of business
- Maintain Salesforce customer account documentation and pipeline management
- Achieve monthly, weekly, and yearly sales goals by managing a pipeline
- Develop new business, maintain customer relationships, and troubleshoot customer problems with valuable solutions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years of experience in a related field
- Alternative qualification: master’s degree and 2 years of experience; Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 6 years of experience in a related field
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, relationship-building, collaboration, sales, and territory management skills
- 2–5 years of automotive dealership experience preferred
- 2–5 years of call center or equivalent experience and knowledge preferred
- 2–5 years of inside or outside sales experience and related applications and tools preferred
- Degree in a related discipline strongly desired, such as finance or business
- Advanced written, verbal, phone, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Salesforce.com
- Must be comfortable calling into the Northeast region of the United States
- Ideal candidate resides in EST or CST time zones
- Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
- No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Must clear a pre-employment drug test
- Must be available for approximately 5% travel
