About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the company's senior finance leader and strategic partner to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors
  • Provide financial and operational insights that support decision-making and company growth initiatives
  • Develop and maintain long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Evaluate business opportunities, investments, partnerships, and major commercial agreements from a financial and strategic perspective
  • Assist leadership in assessing future fundraising opportunities, capital strategies, and potential exit scenarios
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning processes
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to monitor company performance
  • Analyze business trends and operational results, providing actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
  • Oversee day-to-day finance-oriented operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
  • Establish and improve financial controls, processes, and systems to support a growing organization
  • Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages
  • Manage cash flow planning, treasury activities, and working capital optimization
  • Oversee relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, insurance brokers, and other professional service providers
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, tax obligations, and industry-specific regulations
  • Manage annual audits and related reporting activities
  • Prepare board materials and financial presentations for Board of Directors meetings
  • Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced financial credential
  • 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership responsibility for teams and business operations
  • Demonstrated experience reporting to executive leadership and Boards of Directors
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and strategic analysis
  • Experience leading financial reporting, audit, tax, and compliance functions
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear business recommendations
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
