About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the company's senior finance leader and strategic partner to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors
- Provide financial and operational insights that support decision-making and company growth initiatives
- Develop and maintain long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives
- Evaluate business opportunities, investments, partnerships, and major commercial agreements from a financial and strategic perspective
- Assist leadership in assessing future fundraising opportunities, capital strategies, and potential exit scenarios
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning processes
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to monitor company performance
- Analyze business trends and operational results, providing actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
- Oversee day-to-day finance-oriented operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
- Establish and improve financial controls, processes, and systems to support a growing organization
- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages
- Manage cash flow planning, treasury activities, and working capital optimization
- Oversee relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, insurance brokers, and other professional service providers
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, tax obligations, and industry-specific regulations
- Manage annual audits and related reporting activities
- Prepare board materials and financial presentations for Board of Directors meetings
- Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced financial credential
- 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership responsibility for teams and business operations
- Demonstrated experience reporting to executive leadership and Boards of Directors
- Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and strategic analysis
- Experience leading financial reporting, audit, tax, and compliance functions
- Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear business recommendations
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
