About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the company's senior finance leader and strategic partner to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors
Provide financial and operational insights that support decision-making and company growth initiatives
Develop and maintain long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives
Evaluate business opportunities, investments, partnerships, and major commercial agreements from a financial and strategic perspective
Assist leadership in assessing future fundraising opportunities, capital strategies, and potential exit scenarios
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning processes
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to monitor company performance
Analyze business trends and operational results, providing actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
Oversee day-to-day finance-oriented operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
Establish and improve financial controls, processes, and systems to support a growing organization
Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages
Manage cash flow planning, treasury activities, and working capital optimization
Oversee relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, insurance brokers, and other professional service providers
Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, tax obligations, and industry-specific regulations
Manage annual audits and related reporting activities
Prepare board materials and financial presentations for Board of Directors meetings
Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board
Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field
MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced financial credential
15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership responsibility for teams and business operations
Demonstrated experience reporting to executive leadership and Boards of Directors
Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and strategic analysis
Experience leading financial reporting, audit, tax, and compliance functions
Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear business recommendations
Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
