About the role
- Review and interpret veterinarian orders and prescriptions for appropriateness.
- Manages prescription work flow process, correcting internal and external errors.
- Will verify prescriptions to pets in accordance with policy.
- Counsel patients (pet owners) about their medications.
- Verify the work performed by support personnel.
- Ability to focus on tasks and multitask between job functions.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical calculations and compounded preparations is preferred.
Requirements
- Veterinary Compounding experience preferred.
- Experience with PCAB accreditation preferred.
- Position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and a current Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Multiple state licenses preferred.
