About the role
- Develop and execute test plans for engineering applications
- Lead the primary development and execution of automated testing strategies
- Mentor other QA Automation Engineers on testing strategies
- Design test plans and cases to test conformance to business and technical specifications
- Utilize QA testing tools to set up and execute test cases
- Create and maintain test data and environment required for testing
- Analyze and interpret automated test results
- Document and communicate test results and metrics
- Track defect status and work with developers to resolve defects
- Contribute to continuous improvement on QA practices and standards
- Build and maintain automation frameworks for multiple projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Experience developing with an object oriented language such as Java/C++/C# and with a scripting language such as JavaScript/Python/Ruby/PHP/Perl
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design and design patterns
- Knowledge of cloud technology and distributed computing
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Experience with open source technologies
- Experience in organizing and documenting transparent test plans and test reports
- Able to communicate test plans, milestones, and metrics clearly and confidently
- Highly motivated and a team player
- Proven ability to execute problem-solving skills.
