About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the strategic oversight, profitable growth, and ongoing stewardship of our network of Managing General Agent (MGA) partnerships in the US
- Manage relationships with distribution partners and internal stakeholders to ensure profitable growth
- Oversee all phases of program lifecycle management
- Organize, facilitate, and execute thorough due diligence on prospective program partners
- Manage new program builds and ensure clean transitions to steady-state operations
- Evaluate and clear complex underwriting referrals
- Establish monitoring procedures and lead annual program audits
- Lead research, design, and implementation of new insurance products and enhancements
- Own the assigned program budget and drive the portfolio to meet premium, growth, and profitability targets
- Prepare concise performance dashboards and briefing materials for senior executives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferred
- 15 plus years of property and casualty experience with significant focus on program underwriting
- Strong filings expertise
- Medical Malpractice and Professional Liability underwriting preferred
- RPLU and/or CPCU or other insurance designations a plus
- Strong command of compliance requirements across jurisdictions
- Ability to maintain consistent, structured communication across internal stakeholders
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with Microsoft Excel; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
