About the role

  • Lead the design process from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring high-quality designs and user-centered experiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problems and translate product direction into end-to-end solution design
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to communicate design ideas and concepts
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
  • Continuously apply industry trends and best practices to improve product practices and product outcomes
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth as the team scales
  • Leverage modern AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude Code) to rapidly ideate, prototype, and refine solutions
  • Explore and apply AI-augmented workflows to deliver near production-quality outputs, including high-fidelity prototypes and front-end-ready code, reducing handoff friction and development effort
  • Actively lead product discovery, from identifying opportunities to shaping solutions and driving development

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on web and mobile applications
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design
  • Strong product mindset, with the ability to drive product discovery and development
  • Proficient in design tools such as Figma, with strong attention to structure, consistency, and scalability
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience leading design projects or teams, with the ability to guide and inspire others
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics and attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for design, prototyping, or code generation (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to significantly accelerate workflows
  • Ability to produce design outputs close to production-level quality, with practical understanding of how designs translate into code
  • Experience working in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments, with a proactive approach to defining processes and getting things done
  • Experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable but not mandatory
