About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze enterprise-wide customer business needs and participate in the planning, design and implementation of new or enhanced systems that may serve multiple state entities.
- Analyze IT project initiation requests and compile documentation necessary to support new IT procurements, contracts, or in-house system development initiatives.
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
- Identify business process inefficiencies, operational pain points, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and validate that business requirements have been successfully implemented.
- Support the development of Statements of Work (SOW), solicitation documents, procurement packages, and related artifacts.
- Assist in gathering documentation and information from vendors, contractors, and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate & support documented requirements with project managers, architects, developers, QA testers, and business teams throughout project execution.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 + Years, Experience working as an IT Business Analyst supporting IT projects, system implementations, or technology procurements.
- 5 + Years, Strong understanding of business/data process analysis methodologies and SDLC processes.
- 5 + Years, Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, workshops, and JAD sessions.
- 5 + Years, Ability to gather, document, and manage complex business, data, and functional requirements.
- 5 + Years, Experience developing process flows, workflow diagrams, and functional specifications.
- 5 + Years, Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- 5 + Years, Ability to work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders.
- 5 + Years, Experience supporting procurement documentation, vendor coordination, or contract-related activities is preferred.
- 5 + Years, Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies is preferred.
- 5 + Years, Documenting AS IS & TO BE Process & User Interface Mockups.
- 5+ Years Experience in developing statements/scope of work for contracting and procurement.
- 5 + Years Experience managing multiple projects/tasks at once; Results oriented and highly organized.
- 5 + Years Experience in Strong interviewing, active listening, communication, presentation, moderating meetings, and interpersonal skills - influencing, negotiating, etc.
- 5 + Years Experience in Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare presentations and write scope/specifications.
