Instructional Designer
COVENTEK, INC.Instructional Designer developing instructional programs for State Accounting Office. Collaborating with SMEs to create effective training materials while ensuring 508-compliance and learner engagement.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Under broad supervision, analyzes customer business needs and participates in the planning, design and implementation of new or enhanced systems.
- Develop innovative instructional programs and materials that align with organizational goals and learner needs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of training content.
- Conduct thorough Training Needs Assessments and Audience Analyses to identify learning objectives and performance gaps.
- Design, develop and maintain comprehensive, 508-compliant instructional materials.
- Create online, interactive training materials in various formats, including printable job aids and eLearning courses.
- Generate SCORM-compliant webinars and microlearning courses using eLearning authoring tools.
- Develop and administer a variety of assessments to measure learner progress and comprehension.
- Analyze assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Instructional Design, Education, Training and Development, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
- Experience with instructional design methodologies (e.g. ADDIE, Kirkpatrick’s Level of assessments, adult learning principles).
- Experience with SCORM-compliant course development and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong understanding of 508-compliance requirements and best practices for creating accessible learning materials.
- Expertise in designing and developing comprehensive instructional materials.
- Ability to create online, interactive training materials in various formats.
- Experience in developing and administering a variety of assessments and analyzing assessment data.
