About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect and lead the development of one or more major platform areas of Coupa’s globally scaling SaaS products
Design and implement next-generation AI features, including hands-on integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) and custom AI Gateways
Partner with Product, Design, and Enterprise Architecture teams to build end-to-end features that resolve complex financial spend issues
Continuously seek opportunities to optimize performance, simplify existing system code, and enhance CI/CD pipelines
Partner with customer support and professional services teams to quickly debug and resolve escalated, complex client-facing production issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of overall experience developing web applications or platforms
1-2 years of experience acting as a pod or technical lead
Advanced mastery of .NET Core / .NET 8+, including asynchronous programming and complex background processing engines
Proven experience migrating legacy monolith structures into cloud-native microservices and distributed computing architectures
Advanced relational and NoSQL database modeling
Experience with enterprise message brokers (such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Rescue)
Strong ability to make technical decisions with minimal direction and guide a globally distributed team in an agile ecosystem
