Key responsibilities & impact

Investigate, inspect, evaluate, and pay Federal Crop and Crop Hail Claims
Review the client's policy and determine coverage levels
Make contact with the client within 24 hours and explain claims procedures
Set inspection date/time and inspect the damage
Determine cause of loss and evaluate the damages
Calculate the amount of damages and issue payment
Communicate and negotiate with individuals regarding investigation and settlement of claims
Adjust all federal crop claims in the American Farm Bureau Insurance Services CAP estimating system

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training
Requires a valid driver's license for all levels
Federal Crop Certification for P2-P4
Typically requires climbing and or walking fields in all weather conditions
Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs
May be required to travel with overnight or extended stay as needed
Must live in or around the following Illinois counties: Mercer/Henry/Rock Island
