About the role
- Lead commercial efforts for Countable PCR platform across the Eastern US, preparing for product launch.
- Identify and nurture leads; discover and close new business.
- Represent Countable Labs at meetings, demonstrations, and scientific conferences.
- Develop strong customer relationships to ensure product adoption and post-sale success.
- Collaborate with field application scientists and product managers during technical calls and demos.
- Communicate the product value proposition and gather customer feedback.
- Provide monthly KPI updates and accurate sales forecasts for instruments and consumables.
- Manage pipeline and customer relationships using SFDC; use dashboards to track progress.
- Initially report to CEO; transition to VP of Sales as organization grows.
- Travel up to 50% for customer engagements and events.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, immunology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a relevant sales role.
- Experience selling new technologies, particularly instrumentation and consumable sales.
- Experience in biopharma, especially with gene therapy or oncology applications (plus).
- Comfort using SFDC or a similar CRM.
- Experience in diagnostics sales is a bonus.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets in complex purchasing environments with multiple decision-makers.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% (including occasional overnight trips).
- Base in or near Boston, MA (preferred).
