💰 $125,000 - $150,000 per year
About the role
- Serve as the company’s senior-level advisor on employee relations, overseeing escalated and sensitive workplace matters to ensure timely, fair, and compliant resolutions
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve employee relations strategies, policies, and tools that support consistency across all regions
- Partner with leaders to foster a workplace culture rooted in trust, accountability, and respect
- Provide coaching and training to regional HR teams and managers on conflict resolution, investigations, progressive discipline, and performance improvement planning
- Monitor regional compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and drive proactive policy adjustments
- Lead, mentor, and develop Regional HR Managers to manage day-to-day HR needs and complex employee relations cases
- Translate corporate HR initiatives into employee-focused regional strategies and ensure consistent implementation
- Establish performance metrics for HR and ER effectiveness and use insights to strengthen engagement and reduce ER risks
- Ensure Regional HR Managers provide HR support to Talent Acquisition and Onboarding and oversee recruitment- and onboarding-related HR activities
- Guide implementation of performance management processes, talent development, leadership pipeline, career growth frameworks, and succession planning
- Collaborate with benefits, payroll, and HRIS teams to ensure accurate documentation of employee relations cases and outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regional leadership, corporate departments, and C-level executives
- Act as liaison between corporate and regional HR teams and lead special initiatives on workplace culture and employee engagement
Requirements
- Strong background in employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace culture development
- Strategic HR leadership skills to empower teams and influence outcomes
- Experience leading, mentoring, and managing Regional HR professionals
- Ability to serve as senior-level advisor on escalated and sensitive workplace matters
- Experience coaching and training managers on conflict resolution, investigations, progressive discipline, and performance improvement planning
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and compliance
- SHRM CP/SCP or CPTD (preferred, but not required)
- Must reside in Eastern Standard Time
- Ability to commute to corporate office in Virginia Beach, VA once per month
- Ability to travel as required
