About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Efficiently manage and oversee the entire process of handling liability claims.
- Conduct thorough investigations into liability claims, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing relevant documentation.
- Evaluate the merits of each claim and assess liability exposure.
- Engage in negotiations with claimants, their legal representatives, and insurance adjusters.
- Maintain detailed records of claim activities, correspondence, and settlements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify potential areas of risk and implement proactive measures to minimize exposure to liability claims.
- Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and claimants.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Insurance, Legal Studies, or related field.
- Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPCU, ARM, AIC) preferred.
- Several years of experience in liability claims management or a related field, preferably in a corporate or insurance environment.
- Strong knowledge of liability law, insurance principles, and claims handling practices.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
