About the role
- Serve as the architectural bridge between DnA and Engineering departments
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, data analysts, data scientists and software engineers
- Establish and enforce data architecture standards, best practices and design patterns across the organization
- Ensure data models meet requirements for governance, security, privacy, reliability and performance
- Support data governance initiatives, including data quality, lineage, metadata management and regulatory compliance
- Own OLTP domain modeling and schema design
- Create and maintain a domain map and canonical model, clarifying boundaries between services/domains
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related quantitative field
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, software development or related roles
- Demonstrated experience working in regulated industries such as insurance (preferred), banking or financial services
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Proficiency in multiple scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL)
- Ability to collaborate effectively across DnA and Engineering teams, balancing analytical requirements with engineering constraints
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience designing and supporting cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure or GCP)
