About the role
- Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, and/or their siblings).
- Utilize therapeutic approaches that draw from a variety of disciplines tailored to the client's needs.
- Attend to relational ethics while collaborating with others in the interdisciplinary team and the families served.
- Participate in family care meetings with other providers.
- Comply with clinic policies and all state, federal, and licensing board laws, requirements, and regulations.
- Adhere to organizational standards and policies.
- Maintain documentation and communication in line with legal, ethical, and company standards.
- Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
- Current and unrestricted license and/or certification that is required to practice within your clinical domain.
- Well-grounded and knowledgeable in a variety of empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches including cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client care and using client feedback to improve care.
- Open-minded, desire to learn from other professional disciplines and knowledge bases.
- 1 year or more of experience working with children or families with developmental differences.
