About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process full-cycle payroll for assigned entities on a bi-weekly basis for an expanding workforce
- Research and resolve payroll-related questions and issues; explain payroll policies and procedures and provide outstanding customer service
- Verify and process employee expense reimbursements
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external payroll tax-related inquiries and audits
- Continuously drive improvements, automation, communication, and education to improve employee experience
- Assist with implementing new payroll systems or updating existing systems to meet business needs
- Upgrade processes and procedures as the company scales to integrate the latest technology
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of progressive payroll processing experience
- Experience with multi-state payroll
- Familiarity with new-state registration setup and compliance
- Solid working knowledge of UKG; implementation experience is a plus
- Aptitude to learn new systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
- High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
